Over 500 Twitter followers… and counting !

18 mars 2009

twitterWhat should I start from ? « Thanks », probably.

A friend was asking me recently what Twitter was about. I must admit it was difficult to answer. This 140-character word is so wide, so amazingly full of possibilities and possible usages… that any explanation is reducing reality !

Did you know that some talk radios are using Twitter to survey listeners during shows ? I will show you how to do this in a next blog post.

So, yes, I have more than 500 followers, and a very small percentage of those are spamming me. The overall quality of received tweets is amazing, and the knowledge-sharing is stunning !

Of course, Twitter, that’s also that friend who was informing us of every pizza he was buying. I un-followed him the day he told the world he was just out of the Dentist’s. That was far much more information than I needed :-)

Twitter is slowly (actually less and less slowly) revolutionizing the way we share information AND knowledge. Get yours, NOW ! And follow me, of course ;-)

The main question of Twitter is « what are you doing now » so .. I’m going to the dentist, I’m buying pizza, I do a lot of stuff daily and .. I have 690 followers. I don’t see the problem of tweeting about going to the dentist, it’s like saynig that on the radio, you have the people thinking about the pain, about you paing, loughing about your pain, about your feelings.

Yes, not everybody answers to the « What are you doing now » question, some people share links, retweet other people, but hey! What the heck are you doing now? :))

Dear Olix, you are 100% right, of course.
That was just a wink of the eye ;-)

Cheers !
